Private Sessions with Emma

Hi, I’m Emma.

I founded Red Tent Yoga in 2009 and for 8 incredible years, the Red Tent Yoga studio, Byron Bay was a place for women to come together for yoga, movement, meditation, massage, to sit in a circle, for healing, support, workshops and more. I have been practicing yoga for over 22 years, and teaching since 2001. For the last 16 years I have specialisted in yoga for women, pregnancy and for mothers.

I have also trained in ayurveda and I am passionate about incorporating ayurveda into daily life as a wonderful form of self-care.  I am currently completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy, and am offering sessions as part of a student intern clinic.

I continue to offer private and group yoga classses, consultations and counselling sessions in Byron Bay and internationally.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you.

About Emma My Journey with Yoga

About Emma
My Journey with Yoga

I have been practicing yoga since 1996 and in 2001 completed my first yoga training with Swami Satchidananda of Integral Yoga in the U.S.. The first yoga classes I taught were at the Integral Yoga Institute in New York City. I then travelled to India where I practiced with Pattahbi Jois of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and then trained in Yoga Therapy with Desikachar, son of Krishnamacharya in India.

Upon returning to Sydney, I was offered to teach a prenatal yoga class and within a month I was pregnant with my first child. Throughout my 2 pregnancies & into motherhood, I have maintained my practice of Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda. I have also trained in pregnancy & postnatal yoga, I-Rest level 1 and have studied Ayurveda at Naturecare College (Sydney), as well as with Ayurvedic Doctors in India.

I am currently a senior teacher for Blissbaby Yoga, teaching on pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga trainings as well as a senior teacher trainer for Byron Yoga.
