2 hour Deep Rest Class
February’s class is cancelled – bookings need to made by the Wednesday prior to the Sunday class.
This is a class just for you, beautiful Mother – your child or baby can stay at home cared for by friends or family – while you are invited to drop deeply into this 2 hour luxurious & feminine yoga class from 3 – 5pm on Sunday 25th February.
We all know that quality rest is essential in our fast pace modern world ….. deep, still restorative rest. This class honours you as a woman and a mother, your body, your over-loaded mind & your nervous system. You give much to your family – this is an opportunity for you to Receive. Fully.
The class will move at a slow pace using long held yin poses for the first half of the class and then moving into restful restorative postures supported by props & bolsters as we move into a long luxurious Yoga Nidra. Throughout the class you will learn how to use your breath to help move blocked energy and connect with the mental & emotional layers of your being that may be holding old patterns of contraction & fear.
My intention is that you will come away from this class feeling:
- Deeply rested in the physical as well as the subtle mental and energetic layers of your body
- Energised, awake and fully Alive
- Connected to yourself in a new & insightful way that you can continue to deepen at home

Bring: Please wear stretchy or loose fitting clothes and arrive with an empty stomach

Teacher: Emma Grant has been practicing yoga since 1996 and teaching yoga to women & mothers for over 15 years. During this time Emma has combined various yogic traditions, styles and methods to create a truly wholistic approach to yoga.
Emma’s experience spans from traditional Integral Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin & Restorative Yoga. She has trained in India, United States & Australia & is a qualified teacher in Integral Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, I-Rest as well as pregnancy & postnatal Yoga. Emma is a practitoner of meditation since 1999 with experience in Vipassana, Trancendental Meditation & I-Rest.
Emma is also a Qualified Ayurvedic Practitioner since 2006 and incorporates ayurvedic principles into her classes depending on different seasons, time of the day and dosha types.
Her style of teaching is very spacious, calming and honouring of you as an individual giving you choices throughout the class to custom the class just for you and your needs on that particular day.
Emma founded Red Tent Yoga in 2009 and continues to teach Mums & Babies & Mums & Toddler yoga classes in the (former) Red Tent Yoga studio now called the Women’s Shack, as well as pre & postnatal yoga privately in the Byron Shire, Babymoon Workshops and Women’s Retreats.
